408 As Christian I’m in exile (F)

1. As Christian I’m in exile on the earth, But all is well, but all is well; I'm in danger, all day long facing death, But all is well, but all is well. Why all the tears, or terror or sorrow? Christ is in me today as tomorrow; Soon in heaven, at His feet I shall bow, Yes, all is well, yes all is well.

2. Here there’s weeping, distress, tribulation, But all is well, but all is well; Christ has given me a full salvation; Yes, all is well, yes all is well. Vainly this world with all its false pleasure, Try to keep me away from God’s treasure, I trust in God’s love that’s without measure, Yes, all is well, yes all is well.

3. I surely expect a bright tomorrow; All will be well, all will be well; By faith I can sing through days of sorrow, Yes, all is well, yes all is well. Soon the world and its lust will pass away, Pilgrim, move on, take courage everyday, The Lord’s promises shine with cheering ray; Yes, all is well, yes all is well.
